Blogging Rut

So obviously I've been in a bit of a blogging rut here recently. I'm getting to about 1 post a week. But life has been busy and every time I think about blogging I'm not really sure where to start. Which is kind of similar to how I feel in life right now, I don't know where to start.  I'm feeling kind of antsy about a lot of things in life right now, but I'm not really sure what to do about it. Here are a few examples:

1. My house - I want to do something with it. I'm not really in love with any of the rooms in our house right now. I would love to redo just about all of them including my kitchen, our bedroom, both of our guest bedrooms, the living room, our bathroom and the guest bathroom. The problem is I don't know where to start and I don't want to spend any money. This is a problem. If anyone wants to come over and hold my hand and help it would be much appreciated.

2. Friends - Between Young Life and work, I haven't had much time for friends. For like the last 4 years. Derek and I have a lot of friends who are awesome people, but I feel like we lack the time to really invest in those relationships. Which leaves me feeling frustrated and like I have no friends, which I know is not the case, but it just seems like everyone else has so much more time to hang out and live life together. And then I feel left out. Which is a sucky feeling. But again, I'm not sure where to start because I don't know how to create more time.

3. Work - I like my job. There are a lot of things about it that are interesting to me and get me excited. But with all the nice weather recently, I just want to be outside. By a pool preferably. Sitting inside all day and seeing how nice and sunny it is outside just frustrates me to no end. I wish I could work part time just in the summer, so I could have a couple more days off a week to be outside. But I don't think that really flies as an excuse to go part time.

So this is the rut of life I am in right now. The good thing is that God is and has been teaching me a lot recently. And so I am trying to listen to Him and enjoy all of the fun things that are going on right now and not focus on the things that I can't do much about. Anything you feel in a rut about and need to vent? Feel free to share!

What's awesome is that when we put God at our highest priority, everything else falls into place without effort! Hoping you'll receive some divine inspiration soon :)

Oh, I know the feeling! And it's so hard to get out of those ruts too. Bleh. I don't even have any advice, because I can never remember what I do about it when I find myself in a rut - just all of a sudden I'm out of it, and I don't know how or why. Hopefully things start looking up soon!
